Congratulations to Westone artists Los Lobos on their 40th anniversary together as a band! To commemorate this milestone they recently launched an album and will tour the USA and Canada through 2014.
Remember the song La Bamba, the title song in the movie of the same name about singer Richie Valens played by Lou Diamond Phillips? This hit song was actually performed by Los Lobos and is featured on their new live album, “Disconnected in New York City.” Their rock song “Will the Wolf Survive?” made it to number 78 on the Billboard Top 100 chart in 1984 and will always be a classic.
Buy your tickets soon for one of their upcoming shows, before they sell out. If you’re lucky enough to be in Chicago on New Year’s Eve, you MUST see Los Lobos at City Winery where there are still a few seats available for their 7:30 pm show. Los Lobos will also be at one of my all-time favorite clubs The Coach House in South Orange County, California on January 11, 2014. Check out their tour schedule and plan to see them more than once if possible. They are incredible in concert.
Until you see them live, watch this video featuring Los Lobos members David Hidalgo, Louie Pérez, Steve Berlin, & Enrique “Bugs” Gonzalez and you’ll see why this is a legendary band that is not to be missed!
