Westone Audio, Creator of Original In-Ear Monitors for Rush and Def Leppard, Featured on Fox21 News

Fox21 News in Colorado Springs, Colorado recently visited the Westone offices to learn more about in-ear monitors, earphones and the Best in Show award the Westone W60 in-ear monitor won in the headphone category at CES 2014. The reporter was surprised to learn that Westone was an original collaborator on the very first in-ear monitors for musicians, created for Rush and Def Leppard in the early 1990s.

Watch this video to see the lab where custom in-ear monitors are designed and built for famous musicians, sportscasters and athletes by John Spatafora and his superb team of experts, and get a little history on the industry from Westone innovator Karl Cartwright. We’re proud of our custom products that are hand-built in the U.S.A., not far from where the business was started in the Rocky Mountains back in 1959.
